| Before I start I want to say that I am posting this thread from my own view, as I am a new poster and thus my point of view will be different to others.
I've read much about "This forum" getting quiet throughout the forums, especially the RP sections, and therefor would like to point a few things out.
1. You guys welcome new posters to the forums, but after that you seem to largely ignore them. This is not the responsiblity you guys accepted as moderators. If a poster is new, try to make them REALLY feel at home. That's how you keep them from moving off to a more accomodating forum.
2.You guys seem to engage almost exclusively with each other rather than new posters. i realise fully this is likely because you are more comfortable with each other, but if someone(for example) is making you feel uncomfortable with their RP, then tell them how they can improve, or if they should wait to join properly, rather than ignoring them.
3.Specifically towards Kirikaze, if someone makes a mistake, you tend to react extremely aggresively towards the perpetrator rather than just telling them what they did wrong. JUST what they did wrong is all the info they need, if they fail to heed your warning, THEN you get aggressive, but before then, cool down and stop for a moment before you unintentially offend someone.
I have the nagging feeling that this post will undoubtedly be received negatively, but I've taken a good luck and compared how things are done here as opposed to other forums, and this is my diagnosis of the situation. Of course, i could be wrong, and when Summer rolls in there may be a floood of old and new posters coming back on, but I'm putting this up for a good reason. Thanks for reading.

RP section is quiet? Put your glasses next time please.

Let me tell you straight. I'll ignore anybody who didn't impress me. Sounds arrogant? Yes. That's one of my dark side. I'd rather ignored them than pretending I like them even though I actually don't like them. I've been holding my piss for a long time and I had enough of it. It's better if I ignored them but keep watching them since it's my role as a moderator, rather than tell them straightly to GTFO out of this forum.

Err... so you blamed us too just because of a roleplay? Please...
Dude, we have NO RIGHT to make you reply as our wish. Replying the RP is your right and we can't force you. Not now, not ever. Let me tell this to you straight. It's the risk of playing RP thread dude. If you can't make other members think that your reply is good to get their attention, get ready to get ignored. If you can't, just get out quietly and get another thing to do.

...You're still thinking about that huh?
Yes. I admit, I did offend you in discussion thread when I was impatient. The problem is, I was pissed and I'm serious about it. Usually I'll do like what you say. I'll be aggresive when that member is completely "hopeless" by ignoring my warning (check Skyblade in Dark Limbo Roleplay). But in your case, it's because I was pissed and that's that.

The summary for this very thread. ...You brought these things just because we ignored you in roleplay thread. Shows how childish you are.
Just reminder for you, you haven't seen anything yet dude. This forum is a peaceful one compared to some forums like pojo or KMC. If you think we treat you like an unimportant loser, well... quite frankly I have to say you are just a kid who haven't tasted a real world yet. _________________ |

| Wow, no. If that's what you thought, then I must not have explained right. The forum IS very quiet. By this I mean there are few posters posting anymore, or at least, that's what seems to be the case. Let me make it clear that I have dug through the forums ,and it's not just my interraction with you I am basing my oppinion on. As for the elitism, I can't change that, but it isn't very encouraging facet for newcomers to see. S'all I'm saying. The real world is a cruel place, you're right. All I'm pointing out is this : No one in their right mind would choose to be miserable. As a last point, this is NOT my first forum, by a long shot. I've BEEN that guy, but the community still embraces newcomers. For the most part anyway. |

| Well, Angelionic does have a few good points. I want to try (note the emphasis on try) making everyone feel welcome here, but I'm not exactly perfect at doing that.
I'd like if more of the new members tried to use the chatbox, instead of making it seem like the chatbox's only reserved for the most active, existing members... ^^a Maybe then, they could give us some suggestions for things they'd like here on this forum. _________________ A True Spellcaster-Type Girl at Heart My DeviantArt Account =3"With the thoughts of a man gone in my heart, I knowingly took on this impossible fight. | 1. I can see your point, but, who do you want to blame? ^^;
And why you said moderators? Do you want to blame the moderators here? What's their fault? Because you want their attention to be nice to you so you won't feel ignored?
This forum is a small community, so if there's no response to your posts and you feel you're ignored because of that, then it's ok, but why mumbling? O_Oa You can't force anyone to reply to your post, right? So, you can't blame anyone. All I can see there is, you want other members attention.
Just because you're ignored, it doesn't mean we don't like you. It's probably because we don't know how to respond to some posts. Positive thinking. ^^ And there's already a thing called 'chatbox' in this forum. Use it good to to talk with other members to strengthen your relationship with them. =D
2. It's a natural thing in this world if people engange with other people that they already know well. And again, you can't blame anyone if there's no response to your post. o.o
In RP, you reply at your own risk. See if other members interested with your story in your reply. If they're not, big chance you would be ignored. Again, who do you want to blame? Us all? D= Plus, it's not like we can read your mind if you want to improve in that RP because you feel ignored. There's already discussion thread for the RP, so, instead of mumbling there, why you don't use it to ask some suggestion to make the story interesting and make the other member comfortable with your character?
All I can say is, you need to think positively before you quickly judge us as ignorers. From the things you posted here, I can assume you don't like felt ignored, you want other member's attention, but because you can't get their attention, you don't like it, and starts mumbling there.
Of course, I appreciate your post there. ^^ But, do you know, there's other forums who would treat this kind of thread as a "troll thread"? Don't get me wrong, like i said, I appreciate your post. I don't meant to say this thread as a troll thread. o.o This forum is too peaceful if you ask me, but, in other forums this kind of thread can cause a flame war. Just telling you something.
We're all not perfect to make everyone feel this forum like their home. _________________ |

| I'm NOT blaming anyone. I don't care if people ignore ME, but a lot of people do. If people ignore me on a forum, I just click the link that bring to another site, simple. All I'm saying is there are few who will sticka around for long if they are ignored... I'm giving this info from the neutral point,ie: I'm saying that's how people are likely to react as new posters, not JUST from my personal experience, but by looking at other new posters lost to the sands of time. I don't want people to think I'm whining, I'm really not trying to. I'm informing you all of the best way to get more posters. 'Nuff said. |

| Whatever you say, you can't make anyone to do whatever you want. Maybe you feel you're not blaming us, but, judging from your writing style, you just give us impression that you're blaming us, according to your post, those who ignored you.
I already said we're all not perfect to make all members comfortable.
Your posts give me impression that you're whining because you're ignored.
You said you don't care if you're ignored, but if you don't care, then what's the point of making this topic? To tell us so this forum would get more posters?
You don't need to tell us that because it would come eventually, as we start from a small community.
There's many reasons why other member is not as active as they could do. You can't quickly judge them not active just because they're ignored. _________________ |

| The point of making this topic is to inform, that's all, but I can tell that it was more a waste of time on my part than anything else at this stage, so I'm happy to forget I ever posted this, and go on with my life. My apologies to everyone who may think less of me from this, really didn't think people would get annoyed about it, but I'll deal with consequences, whatever they may be. Happy posting. Peace. |

| ...This looks serious.
This topic has been out for a while, but just to tell you guys I don't purposely break rules on RP's. I usually have to do things quickly here so I make mistakes. Sorry for my usual rule breaking on RP's.
Back to here. I seem to concur with many of Angelionic's views. Not that any of you are doing it on purpose, but usually you people tend to talk among yourselves and for some reason I am unable to commune with "select" players (ex. Charmer Roleplay Thread). Just saying this as a heads up. I just really hope that this community can unite peacefully and that no person is left out, unless they are causing "serious" problems. |
