I'm still testing this deck so I need some advice XD

Here it is:

Deck: (41)

Monsters: (22)

  • Wynn the Wind Charmer x1
  • Familiar-Possessed Wynn x1
  • Wynnda, Miko of the Gusta x3
  • Gusta Garudo x3
  • Windarl, Sage of the Gusta x1
  • Gusta Eagle x3
  • Calm, Silent Gusta x2
  • Gusta Thunbolt x2
  • Guardian Eatos x2
  • Mist Valley Shaman x1
  • Garuda the Wind Spirit x2
  • The Tricky x1

Spells: (10)

  • Rising Air Current x1
  • Gusta Empathy x1
  • Emergency Teleport x1
  • Reasoning x1
  • Creature Swap x1
  • Trade-in x1
  • Monster Reborn x1
  • Dark Hole x1
  • Lightning Vortex x1
  • Mystical Space Typhoon x1

Traps: (9)

  • Spiritual Wind Art - Miyabi x2
  • Icarus Attack x2
  • Windstorm of Etaqua x1
  • Call of the Haunted x1
  • A Prayer to Gusta x1
  • Mirror Force x1
  • Return From a Different Dimension x1

I'm trying to focus on building a Wind only deck (excluding Synchro Monsters), but I ran out of ideas and I need some suggestions. XD

I've been dueling lots of decks lately and I noticed the strongest weakness of this deck is the low Attack in every monster, including Daigusta Garudos and Daigusta Eagles. Also I need to find a way to counter cards like Stardust Dragon, Prime Material Dragon and Tytannial, Princess of Camelias since most of the deck is based on Field Destruction.

mmm does Eatos has good synergy with this deck? I mean... maybe you could try this:

-2 Eatos
+1 Empathy
+1 Prayer
and
-Etaqua
...to turn it into a 40 cards deck

Well, since most of the Gusta effects resolve returning monsters to the deck or removing Wind monsters I usually end up with no monsters in Grave xD

What about phoenix wing wind blast, put a monster in your grave to dead draw your oppoenent doesn't sound like a problem plus prime material dragon and stardust can't counter, right.

Also I depending on how often you get eatos out, I might think about twin swords of flashing light trice. If you had her on the field you increased her attack due to her effect then that could be a OTK. I know it isn't the best card all the time, but thought it is a cool idea

Hmm... sounds interesting and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast seems good enough for a theme and fair enough to get rid of Prime and Stardust... now I just need to cover the low attack weakness Very Happy

I thought of something, blade fly can be useful.
Bladefly doesn't pack that much attack on his own but he might be able to help the others control the field.
Or what about rising energy, it seems that having the right number of monsters in your graveyard is needed, another card that can help you get the right number and it helps with the attack problem for a turn. It can also be another way to take down prime and stardust since they can't stop battle.

Just don't forget the major powers of each type, for instance Fire likes to burn, Earth like to Defend, Wind likes to bounce and spin cards.

Agree here, I am building my love a Black Valley deck, and we are using Raiza and Cainus (SP?).

That's a very interesting suggestion I think I'll take out Windstorm of Etaqua, Eatos and Trade-in and I'll add Prayer, Empathy and Rising Energy since I totally hate Monarchs XD

Raiza is the meanest mother hubbert of the monarchs, at least the others just kill your stuff, he spins! That not only costs you a card but also kills a draw!

I agree the monarchs are too strong and widely used by everyone because of such.
That doesn't mean that the monachs shouldn't be used, just sparingly.
Go Will's Monarch free deck.
I am curious does mist vally shaman have a purpose in the deck cuz he seemed like he didn't belong to me but then again maybe I missed what he was doing great.

oh I added her because her effect helps me recycle Garuda and get Eatos faster, also very helpful for synching, I think I'll have to take her out and add Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds instead XD

I see, that sounds like a nice combo.
Isn't silpeed(I am not sure if I spelled that right) stronger then garuda

the only appreciable difference (I think) is... Garuda works with Icarus attack. But you are right 0o, why dont u try Silpheed instead of Garuda?

because even if it's weaker it's effect also makes it an instant attack target because most of the current meta monsters have low defense and high attack, so they prefer attacking garuda than any other monster, but yeah, it may also work

So you have it as a decoy? I agree and change my former opinion Garuda, even if he is 100 points weaker, I think his effect and the fact that he is a winged beast is a better call(I forgot that silpheed isn't a possibly tribute to icarus attack). I mainly suggest that because I thought silpheeds effect is more likey to be used since all he has to do is die by battle.

On a side note, how often is eatos a dead draw? I noticed everyone against eatos and I understand why but one might be useful in your deck. You should probably make that decision based on how often she is a dead draw.
